Dubrovnik for a weekend

Dubrovnik’s walled Old Town on the Adriatic is unforgettable: walk the walls, swim off the rocks, take the cable car at sunset and a boat to Lokrum. It is small, so two days are just right.

What to see in two days

  1. Walk the City Walls
  2. Stradun and the Old Town
  3. Cable car up Mount Srđ at sunset
  4. Lokrum island by boat
  5. Fort Lovrijenac

Where to stay

Neighbourhood advice only: we do not earn from hotel bookings.

From the airport

The airport shuttle bus runs to Pile Gate at the Old Town and to the main bus station (about 30 min); it is timed to flights.

Official transport sites: Dubrovnik Airport · Libertas (city buses)

When to go

Best: May–June and September–October (warm sea, fewer cruise crowds). July–August are hot and crowded. In winter many flights and places pause.
