Milan is fashion, design and one of Italy’s greatest cathedrals. Climb the Duomo roof, see The Last Supper if you can get a ticket, and end the day with aperitivo on the Navigli. Lake Como is an hour away by train.

What to see in two days

  1. Duomo and its rooftop terraces
  2. Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II
  3. The Last Supper (book weeks ahead)
  4. Brera district and Pinacoteca
  5. Navigli canals at aperitivo time
